MITIE receive highly commended award for leadership
Strategic outsourcing and energy services company MITIE has been highly commended in the leadership category at this year's London Excellence awards.
The awards, now in their eighth year, go only to organisations which can demonstrate the highest standards of excellence in everything from customer service, leadership and management systems to sustainability and corporate responsibility.
The award has been given to MITIE's client services business, which provide specialist front-of-house and telephony services, as they have invested heavily in industry-leading, accredited training courses for leaders as well as team members and, as a result of their approach, have financially outperformed the industry average.
Open to organisations across the UK, the finalists represented sectors as diverse as construction, health, facilities management, property management, education, professional services and housing and security. Recognising businesses for improvements they have made in their management practices and performance, the rigorous assessment process is designed to provide feedback that will raise their achievements further.
