MindTools.com eyes further growth after award success
Directors and staff from online business training firm Mind Tools were in jubilant mood this month when officially presented with their Queen's Award for Enterprise.
Mind Tools, celebrating at its offices near Pulborough, was amongst a group of companies from across the UK, singled out by the Queen in April for exceptional and sustained business performance.
The training firm won the award for its achievements in international trade over the last six years. Last year, international sales accounted for 80 per cent of the company's turnover and its services were accessed by customers in more than 130 countries.
Speaking at the company's presentation ceremony, James Manktelow, founder and CEO of MindTools.com, said winning The Queen's Award had already helped boost the company's profile both in the UK and overseas.
"Since winning our Queen's Award in April, we've seen a surge of interest in our online leadership, management and career development resources. We've taken on four new employees in the UK in the last quarter, boosting our worldwide headcount to 30," said Manktelow.
He added: "The reaction to our win from both existing and potential customers has been fantastic, and we're very feeling buoyant about future opportunities. But today is about recognising the fantastic contribution of everyone who works for Mind Tools around the world, and thanking them for helping the company achieve this accolade."
